Shopping for Baby Stuff
Last weekend, Eric and I went shopping for baby things. Well, it was more of just browsing because we weren’t actually looking to buy anything. We really just wanted to see what was out there. We were mostly looking for a baby furniture (crib & dresser/chest of drawers). We started out at Babies ‘R Us. They had a big selection of beds and dressers there. However, everything is pretty expensive. And most of them were the convertible beds (from crib – to toddler bed – to twin bed). And I’m not sure that is what we want/need, especially since we hope to have more children close together (as the Lord allows). We also ventured over to Target to look but they didn’t have much of a selection at all. I’m not sure where else to look here in Jackson though. We might try to look at some other places when we go to Baton Rouge this weekend.
While we were roaming around Babies ‘R Us, we ran across this bassinet that had a cute pattern on it. It was yellow and gray and had bees on it! I am planning on doing a “bee theme” in the nursery… Busby… Buzzbee… (hence our Website address). So I was extremely excited when I saw it. I wasn’t sure if that was the only thing in that pattern, but once we looked around we found a bouncer and high chair with the same pattern. We took note that the pattern was called ‘Bumble’ by Carter’s. And of course, did some research once we got home. We found out that they also have a swing and Pack’n'Play as well! You can see the collection online here. I am so excited that we found something with bees on it. It’s really cute and we like the colors. The only thing they don’t have is a stroller and bucket seat. However, we did find another pattern made by Graco (called Wilko) with the same color scheme. Not that it has to match, but we really like the colors yellow & gray.
